About DesignCrowd

Alec is the founder and CEO of DesignCrowd. Alec has worked in a variety of industries as a strategy consultant at Booz & Co. Alec holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Technology in Sydney (UTS) where he was awarded the University Medal.

Adam is CTO and co-founder of DesignCrowd. Adam has built the technology behind our crowdsourcing engine and heads up our team of tech ninjas. Adam has previously worked as a senior Technology Consultant for IBM and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from UTS.

Chris is the COO of DesignCrowd and manages the business operations. Chris heads up the sales, customer support and finance teams. Chris holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honors from the University of New South Wales. Chris has previously worked as a Senior Business Manager with Perpetual and as an Associate with Booz & Company.

Garry is an Australian entrepreneur with over 25 years of local and international business experience. He has successfully started 5 businesses in a variety of industries as well as having spent over a decade as a Regional IT executive with consumer products giant Procter and Gamble. He is cofounder and Chairman of RecruitLoop, a global platform to automate and outsource any part of the recruitment process on-demand, as well as a cofounder and Director of an award-winning corporate services company – The Fresh Venture Group. Garry holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Computing from University of Technology, Sydney.

Anthony Glenning is a board member at DesignCrowd and investment director at Starfish Ventures. Tony lives and breathes entrepreneurship. He spent 14 years in Silicon Valley where, after senior engineering roles at Sun Microsystems, Tony founded Tonic Systems, a company that developed software for creating and managing presentations online. Tonic Systems was acquired by Google in 2007, where Tony worked for the next two years within the Google Docs team. Tony was also a founding director of a second company, Cameron Systems, which provided FIX protocol, software solutions to financial businesses, until it was acquired by Orc Software in 2006.

Les is a director of Grand Prix Capital and several technology and internet based businesses. Les is a specialist in rapid growth businesses, is the author or editor of 14 publications on tax planning and was previously a Director at Deloitte.

Dr Tobias is an expert on innovation, business and strategy. As Managing Director of The Strategy group, Jeffrey has worked with a large number of organisations, including Cisco, Kraft, PepsiCo, Amadeus, and the Australian Government. Over the past six years, Dr Tobias has worked with Cisco extensively in the area of innovation acceleration. Dr Tobias holds a PhD in Computer Science, and is adjunct faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management as well as the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Sydney.

Todd has over 15-years of online experience with global brands. He has had senior roles at Nike, Jobfox and AOL (where he worked for 8 years in various executive roles). Todd currently runs Ninemsn - the largest content portal in Australia (a JV between Microsoft and PBL Media). Todd holds an MBA with high honors from the Kellogg School of Management.
