Vasilis holds an MArch GAD from the Bartlett, UCL with Distinction and the 2012 Peter Cook bronze medal for design portfolio. He also holds a 5 year architecture diploma from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where he ranked 3rd out of 80 graduates. Vasilis’ research-by- design focuses on using 3D sculpting and recursive subdivision coding techniques. He has been teaching workshops on the subject (at UCL and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), giving lectures and taken part in a number of published research projects since. Vasilis has several other distinctions and competition prizes for his 3d modeling work including distinction as one of the “Lumen 50” for the Lumen digital art prize for the year 2013, and has so far exhibited his work in Thessaloniki (AUTH), Athens(SGT Onassis Cultural Centre), New York (NYIT Gallery 61), Hong Kong (The Space), Cardiff, London (REH The Bertlett, Chelsea College of Arts) and Graz (HDA - Kunsthaus). hide
