I am dedicated to research on the new media's role in expanding human beings' perception of our world. My diverse training from Beijing University of Technology has provided me with versatile skills in digital art design and technology. My skills and creativity have been demonstrated by my undergraduate thesis, entitled “Physically Creative Piano.” This project was designed for people who always sit in front of a desk and are inactively facing a computer for long periods of time. This project included concepts of tangible user interface, ergonomics design, and interactive systems. The technology for this project combined Arduino, infrared sensors, audio playback, as well as LED lamps to provide a platform to users to help them exercise and at the same time acquire basic musical knowledge. This project was showcased in a national-wide competition—the Chinese University Student Computer and Design Competition—and was awarded first prize. The creativity and strong implications of this project attracted the attention of “AV@AR,” an event held by the China Millennium Monument in 2013. “AV@AR” is a worldwide activity that is conducted by the International Digital Artist Association on a yearly bases, who normally invite excellent digital artists who are producing extraordinary artwork in the digital field to participate in and share a valuable experience. Also, my graduate work at the school of fine art in Indiana University has substantially increased my already great interest in the emerging field of human-computer interaction. Now, I am a full-time PhD student in University of Minnesota, twin cities, majoring interaction design and Human factors & Ergonomics, minoring product design. Meanwhile, I am a research assistant and graphic designer for Goldstein Museum of Design; I have been developing gallery's graphic design (online and offline), text panels, invitations, posters, banner and titles for blog, website management, etc. In the 2015 summer, I had two internship with Hetang, one of the biggest internet financial companies in China, and Artisan, the , for each of which, I played a role as UI/UX designer, as well as production manager. For Hetang Internet financial company, to celebrate it was officially listed, we design a new set of VI, and did research of other competitors in the field of internet finance, then redesign the entire visual system of the company, including website, mobile app, posters, and VI. When I worked for Artisan, as a production manager, I was as a team leader in this project, from the pilot proposal to the every stage of survey and usability test, as well as the marketing management. I am confident that I will be able to make you satisfied and dedicated to developing my career to provide the world with designs that can make our life easier, and more efficient. hide
