They often come from a market's research and are planed accordingly to clients and designer needs, and my methodology is research, hand, computer, print tests on shape/form (Understanding, legibility, Confusion, Gestalt,etc.), print tests on color and background (same parameters as before) all on text and image. My visual culture and understanding of semiotics, type, form and vision mechanisms are a strong influence on my projects. hide
