Logo Design Brief

This is a brewery. Need circular emblem to represent us. This will go on caps/website/label/cans/tshirts/hats/etc. We are based out of Hoboken, NJ which used to be predominantly blue collar industrial. I would like to create an emblem which incorporates the industrial era with the letter "H". If you take a machine gear with 8 teeth around it (upload 1 for example), you can build an 'H' into the gear. Hard to explain but please see second upload for sketch of 'H' concept. Want gear to be a rustic, weathered copper and have a worn depth, almost 3dimensional... We would like the flexibility of changing color combos for different themes/beers/shirts/etc....so we are trying to keep the color combo simple. Wanted a simple rusty copper for gear color and texture. Please see three uploads for color/texture of possible gears. We are hoping to create a rusty grain/texture to it. To create depth, possibly a darker grey/black around the edges/circumference of gear and teeth, as well, around the outline of the 'H', making it looks raised off the gear and giving it depth or 3D look. Please feel free to ask additional questions, or create your own ideas. We would like to have two versions of Logo. 1 is just the emblem w the 'H' built in ... and ...the other we would like to incorporate "Hoboken Brewing Co." or "Hoboken Brewing Company" with possible "New Jersey" or "NJ" incorporated as well.

Brooklyn Brewery and their simple, yet extremely recognizable (and color-interchangeable) logo is the type of Branding we are looking for with this. It can be stamped on a cap, worked into a Tshirt, and added to a beercan/bottle, tap-handle, etc...its simple, straightforward, attractive, but most importantly, memorable. This is what we are striving for. We maxed out on attachments, but please Google Brooklyn Brewery's Logo for example.

This idea is in our head and may not look good once designed, so please feel free to add your own artistic input. And please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Cheers!

Requirements

Must have

• - Rustic gear. Must have worn grain look. want it to look as close to a worn/weathered copper/dark metal gear as possible, w 3 dimensional depth, yet appealing look.
  - as stated above, needs to be worn, yet clean rustic look. We would like this to be possible 2 toned in color. Rusty gear color, worn/weathered look will incorporate darker shadow-like color and then same color outlining the 'H' and circumference of 8-toothed gear, giving it 3D look and making 'H' look raised slightly off the gear.

• - sky is the limit. this idea is in my head and once on paper, may not look as great. please feel free to create.
