Hi,
Any feedback concerning my design?
Thanks!
Paul
Are you looking for two sticker designs to replace both of the old stickers or just a single design that will take place of both?
A single design. The two current were posted to show what we are currently using and what needs to be replaced. Thank you.
I am prior Military,..and from Montana. Understand your objective..The sticker is worn once the employee..( or visitor ) has undergone the indoctrination that you folks provide right?..( For instance Mine..or rig, building site etc ) Now,.. what absolutely has to be in the design,.Im thinking company name and logo is a given ( Boland )..and what else?..M
Exactly correct. The name or logo are required, but not necessarily both. I would like to see either our colors or red, white, and blue incorporated. Our employee's hard hats are white with our logo on the front and an American flag on the back. We are working on military bases and want to show our patriotism.
The design must be modern, clean, and professional. I have received several submissions from foreigners who just tossed the word safety on a random design- needless to say that doesn't cut it. Several submissions have looked just as unprofessional as our current stickers with lots of images cluttering up space. We need to take our image up several notches to look like we're competing with the big boys. Our new ~$30k website launching later this year will definitely help.
The first place this sticker will be used full time is over at Minot AFB where we are mobilizing to start construction of a new $19M temporary lodging facility. Our other active projects are $55M infrastructure at Wheeler AAF, $50M hangar at Ft. Carson, and over $80M in levees in New Orleans. We need to look more professional! Thanks for your interest!
That was quick Thank you! I was seeing something in my head not unlike what your describing. I Am a designer during the day and do this at night, Will make every effort to do something nice for you, ( did get your invite however when you "accept" they "time you" so that is inconvenient for me..so this is an informal.."accept" ) you will see something from me..M!
Hello. Even though the job requires a single sticker design, you're a high market company in a high profile field, so would you consider increasing the budget to a more proportionate amount?
Take care.
"Foreigner" from a military family who also served in the Army.
Not being in this business I relied on DesignCrowd to help me determine what a good budget would be. I understand that a higher budget would attract a larger audience. I was struggling to get quality designs in the beginning, but after sending out nearly 200 invitations yesterday and extending the deadline I am seeing a more participation with an increase in quality design.
What budget would you recommend for a job with this scope?
Actually for what your looking for..your fine. A designer is either going to nail it..or they are not. ( and this is not an all day affair )This is fair market value.
The one thing that catches a designer's eye is the "Guaranteed" part or not..( and Im thinking thats really what Fabio meant )
When a Project Holder is Guaranteed..its "Fair Game"..He or she is going to pick someone. So it motivates the designer to compete. I have seen when a project holder gets into this..ESPECIALLY if its a "Group" of people starting a new business..Hell they dont know what they want anyway..and dozens and dozens of designs..mainly just confuses them,..and they take the ideas and never pay anyway..see what I mean. So the "Guaranteed" thing is a real motivator..it means your committed..( rather than just a "looky loo"...M
Hi Jeff,
I think that a $250/300 budget would be proportionate to the company's value more than the actual job itself, it's not just about a guaranteed payment. Also consider that DC takes a percentage off the prize.
I understand the "testing ground" budget and you can keep it at that amount, but I and others will probably look elsewhere despite the prestige of being involved and/or picked.
In any case, good luck.
