Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company based in New York City - a law firm my husband is setting up where he will be the sole practicing attorney. Most law firms' corporate identities are a bit basic. We are interested in seeing logos that are both classic as well as possibly something a bit more modern. This corporate identity would be used for business cards, stationery, email signatures, etc.
