Logo Design Brief

We have a rough drawing my wife made but it needs finished. We like the picture a lot but something about it isn't right. Our colors are Orange and Purple and we want the dog in the picture to look great dane like. The clinic name is simply The Vet. Our hope was that someone could take what we have and polish it up for us. The "T" at the end also needs to be resized and colored to match the rest of the lettering, we would like to keep the ECG lines in the T to try to help show it's a medical facility. Feel free to play with fonts and sizing.
