Illustration Design Brief

Company Name:
Operating Partners Pte. Ltd. | www.operatingpartners.com

Project Overview:
New image design to show "data" passing through through a "lens" that is then converted into "vibrant colour graphs"

Project Context:
Operating Partners works closely with private equity organizations to re-structure, improve and optimize operating performance of their portfolio companies. In this capacity, Operating Partners is developing new visualization tools that transforms traditional financial, commercial and/or operational "data" into meaningful "information" using advanced analytics and visualization techniques. The tool is called ‘Operating Lens’.

Project Specification:
Over riding design input is to try and follow design look & feel used on our website, with emphasis on a simplicity / minimalism and elegance. As for this illustration, we are looking to design an image that represents binary / monochromatic data (from left) passing through a lens or eye (center) and being displayed in the form of bright and colorful graphics (right). Our intention is not to use the actual output graphics from our current tool, rather use creative and impactful ones that would be more timeless in nature. Note, the ‘Operating Lens’ itself can be an eye or a lens graphic. As for the transition from the lens, we were thinking to include a simple version of a 6 color spectrum that is faint / light in colour (pastels) and more of a back ground image that leads to the graphs which are the main impact of the visualization. The idea is similar to the Pink Floyd Prism graphic, but may be too much to include? We are open to design crowd inspiration for these considerations.

Output:
The selected illustration will be used in conjunction with marketing collaterals and web site content. Attached are two powerpoint slides representing a conceptual view.
