Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our company, "World Headquarters" aka "WHQ". Based upon our name, we either don't take our selves too seriously or just the opposite.

World Headquarters is located on Treasure Island in the SF Bay in our 27,000 square food hanger. It is basically a giant rapid prototyping / innovation center where a curated set of tenants and startup companies design and build a wide range of amazing things, from very large sculptures to state of the art LED pathway lighting systems to tasty gin.

It is hard to describe the experience here. "No one can leave here unchanged" is a quote from a friend which represents the experience for many.

We are also really into geodesic projection domes and have a 50ft projection dome here so perhaps a geodesic pattern can be incorporated somehow in the logo, as in the letter "O" or a different graphic element.

So I've been thinking about a logo that is one of the following (in no particular order of preference):

1) A bold "WHQ" as just three letters.
2) The word "WORLD" large and as wide as the word "Headquarters" directly underneath
3) Some use of a globe / earth to symbolize the World in World Headquarters.

Whatever the logo ends up being, I'm going to make a giant sign about 20 ft tall and put it on both sides of the building.

The company font is Facit.
