Logo Design Brief

I need a new Logo for my company, CollectibleEx. The company is new, dynamic and attempting to bring a market to a number of collectibles (books, music, stamps, coins, art, cars, watches). The logo could be incorporated into the lettering of the name or as a standalone logo. Be as creative as you must.

The name of the company is:

CollectibleEx

(abbreviation of Colectible Exchange)

Slogan is:

"...where collectibles are an asset class"

In the text, you may wish to focus on the 'Ex' in 'CollectibleEx'. The 'Ex' is important because it is these two letters which refer to the fact that it is an exchange. An asset exchange, like a stock exchange (market), where products can be bought and sold. On this site, collectibles are viewed as financial products much in the same way as equities, bond futures. So the logo and lettering must be serious and in keeping with the website.

For the logo, maybe a design around the 3 letters 'CEx'

Before I decide on a winner, I will need to be able to view the logo/company name and slogan against the backdrop of the website. A simple text-based, place-holder currently exists on the home page.

So for me, the deliverables are:

1) A mocked-up screen shot of the logo/companyname/slogan against the website (so that I can visualise the form)
2) a .png file of the logo/slogan with background (varying sizes)
3) a .png file of the logo/slogan with transparent background (varying sizes)
4) a vector format file with and without slogan so I can resize (.ai, .psd) with background
5) a vector format file with and without slogan with transparent background

The logo must be modern and dynamic, but serious too. Not too many colours please: Simple is better. Must be harmonious and sympathetic with website.

I am also willing to pay for a collection of common icons/images which can be displayed around the site for better look and feel.
