Label Design Brief

We need to update our label so that it is a one piece label, rather than the 3 piece label we currently have. We also want to get a cleaner, fresher look that will entice customers to use our labels. We currently have 3 products with a 4th coming in a couple of months. We want to have the same branding across the different lines so that customers know just by looking at the bottle/label that it is a Liberty Call Product.

The labels are TTB approved, which means we can change the design so long as the wording stays the same. I have attached our current labels for reference. Also look at the bottle design. The label would need to be an oval or trapezoid to fit the bottle without creasing. An arc trapezoid would work as well.

The current products are a white rum, a spiced rum, and a gin, with a whiskey coming out soon.

We're up for any kinds of designs, from simple, to crazy, to classy, to hip, etc. Plain colors, crazy colors, colored chrome, etc.

Updates

We have received word that the copy on the back doesn't need to be on the final label. We need the Gov't warning and the barcode from the back label, and all the wording from the front label. "San Diego Co." should be changed to "San Diego County". "Hand-Crafted" should be changed to "Crafted".

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Due to the allowable change for the copy from the back label, we are extending the project. We were told by multiple designers that the copy made it tough to fit everything onto the label. Please see my other notes as to what needs to be on the label.

Requirements
Must have
  • The exact wording that is on the current labels, along with the bar codes. Placement can be changed, for example the back label can be written as a side label.
  • Single label rather than multiple labels. We want a one piece design. We hand label and we need to speed up our labeling.
  • All labels should compliment each other.
Nice to have
  • Watermarks, background art. Coloring specific for each spirit. Rum in red, gin in blue, whiskey in purple, etc.
  • The labels can be almost identical for each spirit with only the name and product description being different.
Should not have
  • Should not contain more than 5 colors.
  • No cursive. Fonts have to be easy to read.
