Logo Design Brief

I need a logo and type face for a bicycle company called Grit. THe idea of the company is very durable, longer lasting bicycles than most, and the brand name is Grit. We build bikes to get way out into the wilderness, or ride everyday over and over, and have them continue to last. This is primarily a mountain bike company, so trails, mountains, something that inspires and shows this would be excellent. I would also favor design entries that show color pallete suggestions, as I am not very color smart, so I would like a suggested pallete provided.
