Logo Design Brief

I'm re-launching my life-coaching practice now that I have secured my niche as an adventure coach.

The tagline for the business is: "Transform your dream adventure into reality!" (I would love if the tagline could be part of the logo, but it isn't a firm requirement.)

Most of my clients are women aged 35 - 65 who are finally ready to tackle that bucket list and take on that big adventure. I remain open to each client's interpretation of what adventure means for them. They usually have a mix of interests, some spiritual renewal and some creative explorations, but the majority are big travel expeditions.

Many times a client will come to me because she doesn't have the confidence to travel alone or is overwhelmed by figuring out how to plan a big trip in a complicated location like India or Africa. My coaching helps her to accesses inner resources so can take on these challenges. My clients experience coaching to be life-changing; then, whatever experiences they have enrich their lives beyond their wildest dreams.

I would like my logo to convey a sense of a balance between BEING and ACTING. My coaching work centers the client so she knows how to take care of herself (in whatever way they may need).

I love Reflex Blue with a passion! Navy Blue is good also.
I'm open to having a compass in the design if it can be done cleanly and simply, but not if it is too literal or makes everything look too busy.

My original idea is that the words are touching (SoulNavigation), but I'm open to letting go of that for the sake of a good design. I realize that the name is long and that presents a design problem... I am open to the words being manipulated to make the logo more compact, as long as it isn't impossible to make out what the words are. I definitely like simple, clean lines.

Updates

I've seen 23 designs now and I have a have a little bit more information than my original request.

First is about the color. That the design is blue and white has clearly become a MUST HAVE.  It can have a gradation of blue or varying blues.  So far I haven't liked any of the designs that have come in with additional colors, so if you are going to do that you gonna have to knock my socks off.  It is okay to incorporate black, but I definitely do not want green or orange or red.

The designs that are the most successful so far have figured out how to balance the masculine and the feminine.  This is critical. The most successful ones either have a strong and bold symbol and then more soft and feminine text or vice versa.

The design I choose definitely needs to have a sense of breaking free or transformation.  This is the point of the work I do with my clients.  So a sense of motion works well to illustrate this.  I'm open still about how this is illustrated.... a couple designers have done this with a bird taking flight.  I hadn't thought of that initially, but I confess I have responded positively to that concept.  If you decide you want to try to incorporate that symbol into your design the bird needs to be very abstract, not literal and needs to appear to be taking flight - not coming in for a landing.

I didn't say this in the original message, but I realize now that I prefer a logo whose overall shape is that of a rectangle over a square one.  The primary use for this logo will be as the banner on our website, so longer is going to work better than high.

Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to create a design for my review and I'm still curious to see what is yet to be created!
