T-shirt Design Brief

We want to invite people to pause, chill, become aware that emotions can affect the health of the heart. Mindfulness improves our health and can make us happier and even wealthier -if we can avoid heart problems. The T shirts will be sold to generate funds that will enable low overhead charities ameliorate the financial and emotional impact of heart disease on self pay patients with heart problems. Imagine having chest pain and not having money, that is stress!) Please elaborate on this metaphor: "We start as a seed that germinate into a tree. When we take care of it, it grows healthy and bears fruit. Life is but a path lined up with trees that we often don't mind because we are too busy or focused."

Must have

• We invite creativity and originality, no hard rules. Please consider building on the beautiful logo enclosed that was brilliantly executed by Briliana. This time, we invite designers to further elaborate the metaphor by considering such things as giving roots to the tree-it needs sustenance. Incorporate a heart. I am a heart surgeon and I mend hearts for a living. There will be an Amish handcrafted table runner prize for the winner. I bought last Saturday at an auction to help raise funds for children with disabilities.

Nice to have

• Good things are simple, graceful, intuitive and easy to understand. The design should catch the eye of the onlooker and invite a conversation or comment. Some where in the back or front a mantra like "I love mine, do you love yours? It should then direct to a QR and/or web address. Let us keep it simple and direct

Should not have

• Please stay away from dark, somber tones and colors.
