Logo Design Brief

Our Rock cover band needs a logo we can use for promotional material, banner, cards, website, tshirts, bass drum head, and other merchandise. Our bass player did a prototype sign; we attached a photo. We all like the sign and would like something similar, but do not wish to stifle any creative license you might feel after reviewing our website and/or Facebook page.

Below is some background on our band.

We are a Washington DC-based rock band that covers songs from the 1970s to the present. Our repertoire is balanced between fun, danceable, recognizable rock songs and heavier, intense rock anthems. We play foo fighters, a few classic rock songs, Johnny cash, deftones, black keys, etc. Please check our website for samples and to get a sense of what we look like and a broader sense of who we are.

Requirements

Must have

• We want something edgy, memorable and fun but not cryptic. The kind of design someone would want to wear on a tshirt even if they didn't know who we were. It has to say "7 Deadlies."

Nice to have

• We have gravitated to gray, red, black and white in the past but do not wish to limit a good idea.

Should not have

• a "corporate" look, or a "stock images" look. We also don't want or a Gothic/heavy metal style.
