Logo Design Brief

We are launching a line of effective, safe, non-toxic pest control products for use around and on animals. Products will be sold to commercial facilities (food supply: poultry, swine, bovine primarily) and for farm animal uses (both larger and backyard uses: chickens, horses, goats, rabbits). The name of the brand will be PureScience (capitalization is flexible). This should be followed with TM.

For background - The first products will be a production premise fly control - one for larvae and eggs and another for adult flies. For consideration, logo will be used in marketing materials, website, and on packaging, which will include gallon jugs, sacks, aerosols, and smaller pump spray bottles - liquids, sprays, powders, mists.

We need a logo design for the PureScience brand. The point of differentiation for the brand is effective products that do not use synthetic pesticides. They are plant-derived (but not "all natural") and non-toxic. Their goal is a true alternative to synthetic pesticides to improve yield for production facilities while decreasing reliance on pesticides in our food supply, bringing safety to the pest control workers, animals, and resultant food products.

The logo ideally will convey:
- Effective
- Strong
- Safe, Non-Toxic
- Innovation
- Insect-control (optional)

There are several key considerations:
- Logo needs to be quickly recognizable even if name isn't remembered. The products the logo will appear on will typically be in barns, sheds, amidst a host of products that are mostly white/black labels with a lot of text. They need to be quickly differentiated by a strong logo.
- Logo should include some color. Labels it will be used on will likely be primarily white/black and bottles will be opaque white. Bold pops of color will be preferred.
- Colors to consider are: red, yellow, blue, black and white. Green is a possibility, but should not come across as communicating natural. Should avoid anything too soft, pastel, or conveying natural/gentle as these are negatives in this category of products.
- Open to the logo being purely text treatment of the name or including a design, icon, image. Can consider inclusion of insects (must be somewhat generic as different products will work on different insects) or animals (prefer chicken, pig, horse in combination, as again, certain products will be more likely targeted for certain animals/animal facilities).
- Plant elements should not be included so as to avoid confusion with agricultural products geared toward crops. A subtle nod could work, but no explicit seedlings, leaves, vines, flowers, etc.
- Target consumer/user needs to be considered. Logo style should be masculine, strong, and communicate highly effective, credible, trustworthy, confidence, innovative, modern (but familiar, accessible - not high-tech or futuristic).
- Logo may be used on labels in conjunction with the TyraTech, Inc. logo, which may convey a portion of the message without needing this logo to carry all communication. (attached just for reference to consider juxtaposition)
