Flyer Design Brief
We are a small coffee roaster in Tampa Florida, USA. Besides trying to sell coffee to grocery stores and coffee shops, we would like to try to sell coffee to some of the stores and stands that sell mostly just fresh produce. We want to produce a flyer to mail or drop off at stands that sell fresh produce. Can be 8.5" x 11" fold-able to mail or half page postcard design.
Concept
Fresh is the same concept as why people buy from local produce stores and stands - it is very fresh. We sell some of the very best coffee beans - Specialty coffee (see http://www.scaa.org/) available. Its the highest quality beans that coffee farmers grow. And it is expensive. Also, we believe that to truly get the best flavor, the coffee should be used within the first 30 days after it is roasted. After that the flavor slowly dissipates.
Most of the stuff in the stores is well over that - even from the local roasters. To differentiate our product and get it to consumers "fresher" we would like to sell via the "fresh Produce" distribution channel.
1) We would like to promote the concept that this is a natural pairing.
Farmers grow it, (its a bean) and it is best fresh
2) Also this product offers a chance for a higher margins than most fresh produce.
3) We have included a copy of a brochure we use and information from that should/can be used,
4) The main reason we are offering designers this project is because we want to show what bags of coffee would look like for sale in a produce stand. (Artists rendering?) This might look rows of vegetables and rows of coffee bags side by side. Some sample pictures are attached.
Once we place product in a few location we might replace or add to this spot - with actual pictures.
5) Also very important is that this picture should include a sign that must say "Roasted On" and a date. (this might be hand written)
6) It should include the coffee's origin or other name such at Ethiopian Coffee or Colombian Coffee.
7) This piece should be mail-able, by folding into 1/3. We will consider both, a flyer we can directly attach a label and one that needs to go in an envelope.
