Logo Design Brief

I acquired a clinic from another dentist. I want to retain the logo name but change the design. Currently the logo has one color and projects a very trendy and fun image. I would like to retain the intent but change the color scheme (possibly to include more than one color) and also change the font if possible just to refresh the image.
