Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our new company based on Vancouver Island Canada called '43K Wilderness Solutions'. Our job is to connect people to nature and this is how we do it:
- design and build outdoor recreation facilities (trails, cable cars, cabins, bridges, etc)
- operate and maintain parks and trails
- manage wilderness development projects.

We work on the Pacific Coast (beaches), in the rainforest (big trees), on mountains (snow), and on islands (remote).

We are called 43K because the 2 founders of the company met while working to design and build a 43 km long trail in a remote wilderness area.

Target Market(s)

Our clients include all levels of government, ecotourism companies, resorts, and private property developers. We also work with the public. Mostly people interested in hiking, biking and exploring the outdoors.

Requirements

Must have

• A professional logo that makes these statements:
• 1. Connecting people (city/urban) to the outdoors (wilderness/trails/nature).
• 2. We provide refined solutions to wild and complex challenges.

Nice to have

• Really want to see the design focus on '43K'.
• Looking for a really exceptional font/typeface that combines wilderness and strength with a refined professional feel.
• Prefer semi abstract or abstract imagery.
• One of the layouts we like is having the '43K' on the left with 'wilderness solutions' stacked on top of each other on the right. This would make the letters in 43k twice as tall/large as the letters in wilderness solutions.
• A list of fonts that I like:
• Anton
• Molot
• Forque
• Soolidium
• Franchise
• League Gothic
• Swiss 721 Black Condensed
• Gabo Elegant
• Try using a triangle or triangles in the design. Triangles could represent trees, mountains or tents.
• OR
• Try using a spiral in the designs. Spiral could represent a natural pattern, the sun, natural cycles.

Should not have

• Do not just design an image of a mountain with our company's name under it.
