Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new toy store. As the name 'Nutso Toys' suggests we are a toy store that is unique and a little quirky! We are wanting it to be fun, colourful, easy to read and attractive to kids of all ages! The ideas we have had are as follows....
* 'nerdy-looking' person with a crazy facial expression dreaming of toys
* crazy squirrel character with an acorn or 'nut'...somehow also incorporating a toy perhaps...
Apart from those ideas, we are very open to creative & fun suggestions!
