Logo Design Brief
Training Legends is a company that focuses on training boys how to play the game of baseball by former professional players (major and minor leagues) and we will eventually focus the business on training in other sports/activities. The other sports/activities will include, but not limited to: football, soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse, golf, music, and cheerleading.
Who will be wearing the apparel with the logo on it is young boys (6-14 years old) plus their coaches who are fathers and former professional players of the games. Mothers must approve of the logo because they will be the ones who mostly decide to send their child to us for training.
What would be ideal would be a logo that can stand alone without any specific sport mentioned, but also can be adapted for specific sports by noting the ball used for that sport. Develop a “Base” logo and interchange different sports balls into logo. Much like FedEx uses different colors for each line of their business on their base logo.
The logo should be rendered on a white background, but able to look good on multiple colored backgrounds. The logo will be applied to shirts that will be different colors such as red, blue, white, etc. The logo will also be used on baseball caps, other apparel, stickers, advertising billboards, bandit signs (18”x24” coroplast), marketing flyers, business cards, and many other items TBD. When used on a baseball cap, many times it will be embroidered instead of printed.

Must have
- Guidance Info:
- • Incorporate name into logo
- • 2-3 colors is ideal (needs to look good in B&W also)
- • Has to look good and be legible at all sizes (small on a business card and large on a billboard)
- • Use a basic color pallet (no pastels)
- • Logo should fit into either an invisible square or 4:3 rectangle. This does NOT mean there needs to been a physical box around the logo, but rather to guide the proportions of the logo. We do not want wide logos with a short height.
Nice to have
- • Incorporate a Mark into the logo (not necessary)
- • Our tagline is: “Developing Skills. Building Confidence” - This does not need to be part of the “every day” logo, but will be added at times when appropriate so keep this in mind when designing.
Should not have
