Logo Design Brief

The new project will be called 'Kingfisher Estate, Austral'. Austral is the name of the suburb in Sydney and Kingfisher is a reference to the nearby parklands with all of its birds.

We build the estate and sell individual blocks of land to families who then build their dream home.

It will be a widely advertised project so I expect your new logo to get a lot of exposure. A web site is being developed concurrently and a huge signboard will be constructed on site.

As the buyer of each home site will be making a significant investment we want to make them feel good about the Estate and feel unique.

The buyers are highly aspirational of various family backgrounds including Indian, Chinese and European. The buyers will be mostly young families. Importantly the wife will be the key influencer in making the decision to purchase.

The key points of difference will be:
1. Leisure - Close to the largest parklands in Sydney
2. Established - There are already a number of schools and shopping centres close buy.
3. Connected - to the rest of Sydney via motorways and a new train station.
4. Choice - A range of products will be available at various price points.

The 'hero' picture for the estate will be a picture of a Kingfisher Bird. It will be on the front page of the web site so the logo needs to work with the picture, see attached.

When not being used with this picture I would like the log to use colours from the bird, in particular the bright blue.

Must have

• Must be able to be used with the image of the kingfisher bird, see attached images. Must also be able to used without it and when it does should use the colours of the bird.

Nice to have

• I am not sure if it needs a symbol with the lettering. I will see what you suggest.

Should not have

• Colours that make the logo look cheap.
