Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a Speech and Language Therapy company opening in Ft. Collins, CO. We provide speech and language therapy services to children and adults. We also offer accent reduction services to foreign professionals. Our name is: Ascent Speech and Language Development Center. The logo should feature the name Ascent, with "Speech and Language Development Center" in smaller print beneath it, so customers know what it is that we do. Since we work with a wide range of clients, the logo needs to be professional and inviting, without being too kiddish or too strict. I like most Sans Serif fonts. I’d like it to have a slightly techie feel, since our integration of technology into our therapy is an important aspect; however, we are not a tech company, so it shouldn’t give a super techie vibe. Also, nothing playful. We don’t want to give the sense that we are foolish or not taking our therapies seriously. I like blues, greens, and yellows; however, I'm open to other options.
Target Market(s)
As stated above, we target parents, adults, and professionals...each of which have different needs to be contacting us. We specialize in all therapies...voice therapy, expressive language, receptive language, articulation, social skills, accent reduction, etc.

Requirements
Must have
- My project must look good in black and white, as well as in color, as we will use the logo on letterhead that will be sent to doctors, parents, clients, and other speech therapists.
Nice to have
- I want to feel good when I see my logo. I want people to feel comfortable enough to call my clinic, while portraying professionalism. I want to see the logo and know that the place I'm calling is going to provide up-to-date therapy, be professional, and treat me or my children with respect.
Should not have
- My project should not be full of bright colors or be aimed at kids.
