CD Cover Design Brief

I am a singer/songwriter about to release my 3rd album and needing a cd cover. My songs are distributed on iTunes, Amazon, CDbaby, etc. I don't have a big budget but it's an opportunity for someone wanting exposure. I'm just needing an eco sleeve, front and back. I don't plan on including a photo. I am completely open to ideas. The genre of music is singer/songwriter with influences covering a wide spectrum, from Americana, Adult Contemporary, and country. The name of the CD is "U Turn" which is a title track about making a Uturn to go back and makeup in a relationship. But the cover doesn't have to reflect that and like I said I'm open to artistic creativity. So a photograph that fits will be considered. But I will also consider a contemporary art look without any photo involved. I'm open to colors and also having a focus on one color in particular. I just want something creative that catches people's eyes and makes them want to know more. The back of the cover should just be a continuation of the front but simple on the so as not to interfere with the song list, credits, etc..

Requirements

Must have

• I will provide artist name (me) ,the barcode, song list and album credits after choosing the artwork. Final art work from chosen artist should be file format to submit to printer in spec for a CD eco sleeve and to include crop marks. zip file with specs included in brief. Also, I will need a jpg of the front cover to be used to post online for downloading music.

Nice to have

• I am open to color creative scheme. Focus can be centered around one color or not. Contemporary art look is ok. Will also consider a photograph as the centerpiece.

Should not have

• I'm open to ideas. I just don't want it to look cheesy.
