Logo Design Brief
We are offering a new half marathon race in Prince William County, VIRGINIA, USA. The half marathon will travel through the Manassas Battlefield Park.
About the Battlefield: The Manassas Battlefield preserves the site of two major American Civil War battles - 1st and 2nd Battle of Bull Run. The first was suppose to be easily won by the North and put a quick end to the war. However, after a terrible defeat, the Lincoln administration and the North realized that the Civil War would be a long and costly affair. Today, the park is visited by more than 900,000 people annually.
About the race: There are many classic races in the Washington DC area - Marine Corps Marathon, Army 10 Miler, Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, etc. However, getting into DC with the traffic can be a problem. We are bringing the first long running race of its kind in Prince William County, just about 30 miles outside of DC.
We want a logo to use on websites, print ads, social media.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: The team reviewing designs has just come off a large race for Thanksgiving and didn't have adequate time to review all the logos. The logos we have been getting are very good and we didn't realize it would take this long to refine and decide.
