Logo Design Brief

We need a logo designed for a new Australian based e-tailer of Roasted Coffee beans called "Beans Direct".

We take the coffee beans from dozens of specialty and boutique coffee roasting houses and offer them for sale to the consumer on the one website giving unparalleled choice and variety. This gives the consumer the widest access to the freshest beans from award winning coffee roasters from any corner of the country at great prices.

Our target market is obviously coffee drinkers but those that own manual or automated coffee machines requiring the use of whole or ground coffee beans, we don't want to go too high brow and we'd like to avoid appearing snobbish, we want to appeal to the average joe's who have bought a machine but don't know where to get great beans.

We're open to colours but the final design should communicate flavour, freshness, aroma, COFFEE, we want people to associate our logo with the urge to go for a coffee!!! My challenge is to possibly use the colours of Italy (home of coffee) and some Australian influence as we're promoting Australian roasters.

Male and Female aged 18-80. Owners of Manual or Automatic Coffee Machines. Think "foodies", people who consider themselves connoisseurs.
