Indonesian Restaurant in Singapore Needs a Menu Design
Add your question or comments below
Thanks for the invitation!... do you have a preferred size for the menu?
May I ask whether you prefer the menu to look like a book (with front and back covers) or a sheet of paper (perhaps trifold or more)? It would also be helpful if you have a mindset for measurements. Even if they aren't accurate, perhaps something along the lines of "don't go over 40 cm tall" or "at least 10 cm wide".
Hi,
If it's a two-sided menu, the size can be in btwn A3 and A4. Thank you!
Hello,
Thank you for your question! I am open to either a two-sided menu approximately 35cm x 25cm or a sheet of paper (as you suggested, trifold or more, the same dimensions applies here).
Thank you for your reply. I have 4 more questions, if you don't mind:
1) Do you have any particular colour scheme, in addition to the current logo of red, yellow and green?
2) Shall I convert the prices from Indonesian Rupiah from the menu of a local branch (I'm an Indonesian resident), insert any dummy number (like, S $10.00 for all items) or leave the prices blank?
3) Will the logo be necessary on all sides of the fold (i.e. double-sided trifold would consist of 6 logos) or a single logo each on the front side and back side of the paper or just a total of one logo for the entire menu?
4) Would you like to incorporate some Singaporean element to indicate that the restaurant is a harmonious cooperation between 2 cultures or do you prefer to keep everything as authentically Indonesian as possible?
Hello,
Thank you for your prompt reply!
1) Perhaps orange - the Indonesia branches use that at times. Example in these links: http://www.adadiskon.com/static/promo_pics/original_679_es_teler_77.jpg

2) Nope, do not convert. The menu is only for the Singapore branch. Prices given are fixed. Please go ahead and use the prices given.
3) I would think a single logo would suffice. But if it looks aesthetically with logos in all pages, I am open to consider that design.
4) This is a very good question. Firstly, in your opinion, what is a Singaporean element? To answer your question, we would like to see a blend of both Singapore and Indonesia cultures, but with slightly more of Indonesia's culture in the design.
Many thanks again for your answer. Forgive my impertinence, but I failed to see any price listed on your project brief and its 17 attachments. Will the prices be supplied later to the contest winner only and I shall leave it blank for now?
Oops, sorry. Kindly ignore my question above.
