No. 8 has long been regarded as the luckiest number in Chinese (Eastern) culture. The number 8 in Chinese is similar to that of "prosper" and "fortune" I also have 8 scents of candles and I live at number 8 on our street...Pineapples have been a symbol for many things over time - from wealth to now the symbol of hospitality and welcoming to the home (in western culture)
