Book Cover Design Brief
Looking to get a book cover designed.
I am an entrepreneur with an edge (I am fun, outgoing and with tons of personality) and run a localisation company called GoLocalise. My book is my story, some business lessons and also some language lessons and idioms. I am an entrepreneur who has set up his business in a country other than his, with a different language - and thus my book talks about communication and the problems that do arise when things get lost in translation.
I have included, attached, a document with three forewords/introductions from others about the book.
The title of the book is:
Child-Biting,
Chorizo
and Chancing Your Arm
(whatever that means) [in small letters]
And the subtitle:
How a lonely Spaniard made it big in Britain
Notes:
I was a child biter
I am from Spain - thus chorizo
And I set a business up in the UK - took a risk "chance my arm"
Also, may be a good idea (depends how it looks) to have "whatever that means" in small letters after chancing your arm, since most English people do not know the meaning of this expression. And I constantly play on words with communication throughout the book.
Style notes:
The book is fun, entertaining and I do not take myself too seriously, so I want the cover to be professional, bold and striking.
I like the colours black and red, but these are not a must. The idea is to make the cover stand out, while still remain professional.
