Logo Design Brief

We are building contractors and have been in the trade for over 30 years, but have just formed a new company to take on larger projects in and around London area. We would like to incorporate a 'sky line' of some type, but we would like something modern, 21st Century or even abstract - although we quite like 'art deco' too. We are not sure on colours, but want something classic and neutral and nothing too bold or using primary colours. Also logo needs to translate well on to work clothes etc. Logo should communicate professionalism. Font used should be modern and contemporary and quite plain, no fancy fonts at all.
