Logo Design Brief

My company is a real estate and general investment holding company and I'm looking for a logo and business card that indicates quality with a bold design. I'm looking for a unique brand that can be used for all personal holdings. I'm fairly open minded on the design. The colors identified are not set in stone but would like a "Texas" feel to the earth tone colors (Orange and Tan) without being too cheesy. Would consider both traditional and playful designs. For Business cards would consider gold or metallic printing.
