Logo Design Brief

Watt Else is a social enterprise, At its core, the idea is an organisation which:

1. provides impartial and easily digestible information to individuals of the options for and benefits of installing green technologies in their homes; and

2. bring those individuals together to facilitate collective purchasing of technology and installation services which will provide significant cost savings.

To date we have installed solar power systems to 500+ homes in one community. Our structure means we can deploy our bulk buy model in any community throughout Australia, a website is being developed that will help communities form their own groups and we then tender to industry on their behalf.We also engage communites by holding town hall meetings and have partnered with local government to deliver this service.

A large part of what we do is provide education to homeowners on the benefits of deploying an energy efficiency strategy first before investing solar power, this approach can greatly reduce the size and overall cost of a solar system, and because Watt Else charges a fee for service, rather than a commission based on the amount spent, group members can feel comfortable that they are getting good advice rather than a sales pitch to increase commission earnings.

We intend to set up groups called "Watt the Flock" in each community, e.g "Watt the Flock Melbourne". Melbourne residents would register their interest by joining the melbourne group on-line. Similar to a lot of sites like such as living Social, Groupon ect however specifically for green technologies, energy retrofits etc.

As you might notice we are trying to have some fun here and differentiate ourselves from other renewable energy companies.

Watt Else is asking the question about a different approach to living, a different approach like how we can make decisions as community and foster that spirit.
