Advertisement Design Brief

We are looking for a full page Ad in Australian Rid Magazine's next issue. Targeted at more serious and largely male road riders. The Ad should raise the awareness of the business as a national provider of high end road riding clothing largely through advertising we are one of the new stockists of the Swiss brand Assos.
Simple, stylish and obtain cut through to attract attention and stop page turning. Though Assos with a good image should be able to do that

Magazine Ad: Ride Magazine Full Page Ad.
Audience: High end passionate road riders, largely male, Australia. See below for more details

Who we are and background:
Cycling & Sports Clothing – largest specialty cycling clothing retailer in Australia. Three physical stores in Melbourne and a web stores focussing on Australian sales. We have the largest selection of cycling clothing in Australia and the most knowledgeable and service oriented staff. The stores were originally more entry level product but the have expanded into higher end in recent years with deepening of Santini, Sugoi, SKINS Compression and most recently the Swiss brand Assos earlier this year. Awareness of who we are and that we have a large (est?) high end offering is not widely known.
Assos has changed distribution in Australia removing form the one previous store and giving to 10 new retailers throughout Australia including us. We believe we have the largest physical footprint and largest range.

Pitch:
Telegraph that we are the place for Assos Cycling clothing in Australia as the call to action. Anf while doing this raising awareness that Cycling & Sports Clothing has high end road riding gear including other premium brands. We have the largest selection in Australia (though several claim this - some clearly with no basis) and the best service but this is not fully known. There is not specific call to action other than Assos availability
The ad is for the national market and hence needs to bring people to the website, as well as mentioning the physical stores. Note the physical stores also give considerable credibility to our web offer. The web orders and all inquiries are handled by the stores – by our team members who assist and fit cyclists all day (as opposed to a warehouse fulfilment centre) and of course are cyclists themselves.
The ad is to run in 3 bi monthly editions aug-sep, oct-nov, dec-jan

Attached is a previous ad that was done quickly for the July Tour de France Issue (file MSC1045 CSC Full Page Ad (Ride Magazine)_HR). The elements are correct but feel feels like several separate ads rather than one cohesive whole, and that a little lacking in style. Possible treatments of this including an outer framing treatment blending of elements - or other graphic treatments. Other ads in this magazine tend to focus on image and style and maybe tech features – not discounts or sales.

Will attach another previous ad for another more budget focussed magazine. MSC1062 CSC Full Page Ad (Ride On - Aug-Sept)_Update_HR. It would be nice to keep some design elements for consistency and brand recognition as there is some cross over of membership. Note this was for a much more mass market audience and the call to actions and individual product shot were specifically for that edition and audience. Please do not include the product shown in this or the sale message

Hi
To clarify looking for simple, stylish and obtain cut through to attract attention long enough for message that Assos and other high end products are available through us. So base on the example MSC1045 ad not the even more complex MSC1062 ad which has too many and the wrong messages for the audience.
Most ads in this magazine are even simpler than MSC1045

Cheers

Thank you all for your great input a design has been chosen.

Unfortunately I was a little overwhelmed with the designs and some real world things and was not able to get back to comment on each design concept individually as I had intended.
There were a number of good design ideas and I may well be in contact with you to explore them for different audiences in the future.

Thank you for input and creativity - which made decision making rather hard for us!
