Logo Design Brief

Fitness Buddies is an initiative to promote creative physical activity in our community by fostering healthy relationships between college student mentors and the population we are serving. We are designed as a mentoring program currently working with a local Boys and Girls Club. We are currently expanding to the college students and elderly adults in our community.
We want a logo similar to the past logos of the Olympics. A logo that shows movement, unity, and simplisticity and has a sense of big brother/lil brother relationship. We would like the visual component of the logo to be able to stand alone when not accompanied with the logo text. We want to avoid stereotypical images associated with “Fitness” like hardcore weight training, sports/athletic images, etc. Most people think we are a bodybuilding program, or a program just for athletes. Mostly college students and kids will be the primary viewers of our logo. Parents, college, and the community will be the secondary viewers of our logo. We think the logo will be best if it invites everyone feel welcome to be active.

We need our logo to be simply aesthetic- the logo needs to be easy to look at and communicate a feeling of relationship (big brother/little brother, mentor/mentee) we are college buddies working with our community and want the logo to be consistent with that friendly message.
