Business Card Design Brief

DC United needs a new business card.
We are a (fictional) football club in the UK.
Our colours are claret and blue (like Aston Villa FC).
Please design a new business card that uses black and white and/or our club colours of claret and blue.
The words DC United should be on at least one side of the business card.
The design should be professional and serious. The typeface should be conservative with a slight tweak to the individual letters if possible.

Hi all,
Primary club colours are claret and blue.
Heritage: DC United are from an old shipping town (think old Manchester). Their local supporters were mainly from the port and nearby logging industry.

Their mascot is a raven.
The club origins:
DC United was formed late in 1859 with the development of Deadtree Park. However the new club had inadequate facilities, so it linked up with Cheshire County, a nearby cricket club.

Legend has it that in 1863 an enormous flock of ravens landed on the southern stand the morning that DC United were scheduled to play a promotion match into lowest tier of the professional football league.

• Can use claret & blue as part of the theme for the rest of the card, but try not to drown the words DC United out

• Other colours. No iconography or symbols. No cartoony or whimsical designs.
