Logo Design Brief

I run a small IT/Network consulting business that specializes in LAN/WAN connectivity and security for small and medium sized businesses. I have had a B&W logo for some time and am looking to update and improve upon it to include adding some color(s) to it.

I am a great network engineer - I have little or no artistic talents and that is where someone such as yourself can help. My business name is "K2 technologies" and the motto has been "IT matters". I'm also open to a new motto that could be incorporated in the logo.

As far as technologies that I work with, they are Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, HP & Dell - Just in case you are able to leverage any artist trends from those.
