Logo Design Brief
Crossware has developed a unique proprietary software product for the 150+ million Microsoft and IBM email users worldwide. Currently called Crossware Mail Signature, the product provides flawless brand consistency and rigorous compliance control for every email sent by every employee from every device.
Launched in 2006 it is considered as world’s best practice for email sign-off and is used by more than 600 companies worldwide. Companies like LVMH, Selfridges, Ogilvy, Honda, Hertz, BNZ, QBE, Zurich, Salvation Army, WorldVision use Crossware Mail Signature to meet legislative requirements and have each and every email correctly branded across tens of thousands of employees, using multiple languages and devices, such as PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone and Blackberry.
Tough legislative requirements similar to Europe’s are now introduced in Canada and soon to be introduced into the United States and Australia which will increase the demand for the product. The software also provides highly flexible marketing capability to email, which many of our current customers are yet to fully utilise as our entry into the business has typically been via the IT department rather than Marketing.
Our challenge is to educate the market that there is a product that solves the problem of email compliance and brand consistency. After years of struggling with the issue they are often amazed to learn that one software package can add a tamperproof signature, disclaimer and brand from a centralised location without the need to be installed on all of their employees’ devices.
To adopt a more modern product name and to use a .com domain Crossware Mail Signature is going to be rebranded as ‘Paperface’. Paperface (paperface.com) is distinctive and will provide a better platform from which to promote the software’s marketing capability to senior marketing executives. We will be looking at new ways of reaching these people, without losing our focus on our traditional market of IT managers.
The Paperface brand signifies and symbolises a bond to the “Old” beautiful handwritten letters on special designed paper with beautiful engraving or raised letters – oozing a company’s brand awareness and slogan.
We want the logo for Paperface to represent something modern, beautiful and relevant. Logos we like are Facebook, Google all simple and relevant……and we want people to associate Mail Signatures with Paperface…

Hi All - Some very good designs so we are definitely happy with the result so far.
Could somebody try to work on the idea of a logo similar to Facebook where we could use the first letter P or the middle F as a standalone logo but still keep the full name as a separate logo..A little like this one:
