Web Design Brief
I am about to setup a blog using Typepad and I would like a custom graphic design to give my website that much needed unique look. The blog (to be called Johnny & Timmy) is largely about programming, especially artificial intelligence. Books reviews might be included from time to time. This is not a business, but a personal website meant to display our programming skill sets.
Updates
We have gotten 2 designs from 2 different designers that we are pretty fond of. Just in case, I want people to know that it should not be restricted to simply showing our faces. You could have us with bodies doing something. As an example, one holding a laptop and the other holding a Rubik's cube or something. We want our faces somewhere, but it doesn't have to be just faces.

Must have
- Graphic versions of our faces. Included are some JPGs. Johnny 1, Johnny 2 and Johnny 3 is of course Johnny while Letao 1 and Letao 2 are Timmy. They do not have to be super detailed. Not exactly sure what we want in terms of how our faces should be used. It could be easily be "Johnny & Timmy" in the middle with Johnny leaning on the word Johnny doing something and Timmy leaning on the word Timmy doing something. This is totally up to you.
Nice to have
- Even though the subject matter is sort of nerdy, we are probably wanting to go for an edgy look, sort of like something you expect see on blogs that deal with games.
Should not have
- Let your creative juices go. Should simply not have a nerdy look to it. Last time I requested a design, some people submitted some designs using bright colors that made it look really childish.
