Logo Design Brief

We are EarthForge, a small Digital Fabrication studio/workshop based in Brussels Belgium.
Equipped with a CNC router and laser cutter, we focus our activity on the production of custom made furniture, lamps, interior decoration elements and sign displays.
Our core values are:
- Working with a mix of state of the art technologies and craftsmanship to produce high quality end products.
- Respecting the environment by using only "FSC" and "PEFC" wood based products, European wood species and natural finishes.
- Promoting the Local Manufacturing concept to help cutting down on woldwide CO² emissions generated by raw material travel.

Requirements

Must have

• Some real originality
• A blend of nature and technology (organic / futuristic looking)
• Logo appropriate for V-carving (see "V carving" example file) and laser engraving
• Logo easily transposeable between a colored and Black & White version (see "Color" example file)

Nice to have

• would be nice if efforts could be concentrated on the lettering job first.

Should not have

• No gears, no trees, no leaves, unless really original
• No gradients (cannot be engraved physicaly)
• Not looking like automatically generated logos
