Logo Design Brief

I need a desighn for my company logo which can be transferred onto a van at a later date, I'm an Electrician doing everything electrical, would really like something cartoony possibly something that Instills some sort of nostalgia in people I.e old style writing or feel while trying to blend in with a modern day cartoon kinda feel, ...... fun sort of logo, not the usual lame kinda ones I see all the time around here, background colours are quite important, something like the pictures I have included, possibly a cartoony electrician with some related tools in his hands or marerials.... like a coil of cable in one, and a set of rods in the other, and by rods I mean rods that are about a meter in length that electricians use to fish cables across ceilings, normally in a red tube with black caps either end, or maybe a screwdriver in one hand ,test equipment round neck, battery drill in other, maybe two colours one above and one below, something eye catching, earth sleaving tied to his waist, or tool belt.. maybe...? Please could the colours above and below compliment each other but be a little unusual,(above and below the image) vibrant... just a few ideas......
