Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for a ceramics arts workshop based in the Spring Mountains of Queensland/Australia. Because my workshop is in Bellbird Drive, maybe something with a bird would work, but it is not a must. The workshop (for pottery, mosaic, silver jewelry etc) is a learning center for students of all ages. Also students can become members and hire studio space. Teachers can use the facilities to teach workshops for specific techniques.I would like to use a light warm green colour on the website (see attached background on Front.jpg) but i am open to other modern colour schemes. I also attach some poor attempts on my own which looks very old fashioned ;-)
I would like to have a modern looking logo which reflects that it is an arts and ceramic center/workshop.
