Logo Design Brief

We are seeking a logo for a sailboat charter business based in the San Francisco Bay, California, USA. The" sailboat's name is "Freedom" and the business name and web address will be "Sail Freedom LLC" (www.sailfreedom.com). Freedom is a 46 foot cutter rigged sailboat.
The business will focus on taking visitors to the Bay Area and locals on day sails to view and experience the sights of the area from the water while enjoying the thrill of sailing on a large sailboat. Some key aspects of the business and elements for the logo are the following (not expecting all of these to be included of course!);
1. Fun experience on sailboat
2. Beautiful area (Golden Gate, Bay Bridges & Alcatraz, Angel, Treasure islands & San Francisco waterfront, seals and whales to list a few)
3. Green (boat has no diesel engine, new electric)
4. Logo should work with the name (Freedom) included and as a stand alone image (without full name) if possible

The color of the boat is Blue (Hull) with medium grey strips for cove and waterline (see photo). Colors in logo should work with boat colors. (Awlgrip paint colors are Carinthia Blue and medium gray - awlgrip.com)

Design shouldn't be too busy and project a professional but fun image.

Requirements

Must have

• Match or work with colors of boat hull (Blue and Grey) and White decks. Not limited to these colors but understand the logo will be used on the back of boat and as logo on website. (Greens don't seem to go well with these colors)
• Clear and simple image
• Fun

Nice to have

• Include aspects of area
• the fact that the business is green with electric motor
• One of the key owners in the business is named Dominic and goes by the name Dom. We have played around with the word Freedom written to hint at this by writing it FreeDom but this looks too funny/wrong and don't like it but maybe there is a way to hint at this?

Should not have

• No .com in logo designs please
• Stay away from the birds or wings, we are a sailing company and hope not to fly too much! Get that birds and wings present an image of freedom but not a direction we like
