Logo Design Brief

Michael's Cigar Bar is Worcester, Massachusetts leading cigar bar. We specialize in providing premium, hand-rolled cigars from all around the world. Our facility has a huge walk-in humidor loaded with cigars and a large, lavish lounge full of leather arm chairs. We have an old-school look; exposed brick walls, tin ceiling, custom woodwork throughout. We have been in business for almost 8 years. My current logo design is supposed to look like a cigar band. The middle of the cigar band is too busy. I am looking for a logo that is easy to understand and relays the idea of what we have to offer. It needs to be easily visible on small format items like matches, glassware, and cigar bags, while still looking elegant and classy. I would like to limit the amount of colors to keep costs down on printing.

Requirements

Must have

• "Michael's" as the largest lettering. "Cigar Bar" as the next biggest lettering. "Cigars and Spirits" as the smallest lettering.

Nice to have

• A design relative to the cigar world such as a cigar band or smoke. If a cigar band is the design, I like the gold leaves. Dark, rich colors. Our current scheme has been a mix of dark brown, maroon, and black - Current uniforms are black shirts with maroon borders.

Should not have

• A martini glass or cognac snifter as the shape of the logo.
