Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for our new business in Chicago, opening January 2017. We plan to be a neighborhood hang-out for young children and their caregivers. It is not a daycare or a drop-off childcare service. It is a community gathering space where parents can bring their children to meet other families in the city. We will have play equipment much like an outdoor playground. We will offer an artistic space that is appealing to adults as well as children. I do not want the decor to be childish, like most other indoor playgrounds. Nothing in there will have primary colors and the toys and furniture will be natural and comfortable. The ideal colors in the design should be turquoise, coral, gray and lime green. I like hand-drawn lowercase lettering. The lettering need not be childish. Something whimsical with wild flowers would be nice. The feeling should be "a cozy retreat from inclement weather."

Requirements
Must have
- The letters in the logo should be recognizable to children. I will not have a big sign for the business, so the logo is more about giving the business a familiar brand. It will be used in brochures, flyers, on our website and on signage or billboards for advertising.
Nice to have
- I've checked out some fonts on MY Fonts website and I lean toward lowercase lettering, thin and hand-drawn. I also like whimsical and fun without being childish. Incorporating a wild flower stem with the starting letters of Present Place Chicago would be appealing to me. I also like the idea of something circular in design, but not necessary. Adding an image of a child playing would be good.
Should not have
- My project should NOT have primary colors or all caps lettering.
