Logo Design Brief

Design a logo for my insurance sales team. I am the Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast Kansas Region. We call ourselves "The Rock Stars" we are the biggest regional team and produce the most sales, I'm looking for a cool logo to use on shirts/emails/contest flyers etc.

Some ideas are to have the state of Kansas and an exploding star or Rock Star coming from the Northeast Corner maybe?? Or any kind of rocker or guitar exploding or really popping out.
