Logo Design Brief

We are the Latino Caucus of the Society for Research on Child Development (SRCD: http://srcd.org/). We are a group of academic scholars. Our mission is to to promote conceptually and methodologically rigorous research conducted with Latino children, youth, and families that represents their (1) diversity, (2) normative development, and (3) inherent strengths (cultural, linguistic, etc.).

SRCD, our parent organziation, also has a Black Caucus (http://www.blackcaucusofsrcd.org/) and an Asian Caucus (http://www.srcdasiancaucus.org/).


We need a logo that embodies our mission. Because Latino children and families live everywhere, we do not think it would be good to focus on a geographic-based design that only includes central/south America. We are also sensitive to avoiding ethnic stereotyping.
