Web Design Brief

Fresh and Trendy Daily Deals Aggregator in 17 countries in Europe needs your web design inspiration to inspire the buying masses. We are a young, fresh, crazy and dynamic team and we plan to take the daily deals space by storm very soon. dayzilla will bring a completely fresh approach to giving people amazing discount offers from daily deal sites, such as Groupon, LivingSocial and others for things like spa treatments, fitness, clubs, restaurants, online shopping, offers, health, beauty... Be a part of a happening!

We are looking for a web design with no coding for an ajax-based website (we need PSD, no HTML/CSS). We are looking for something that will look fresh and not too techy. Needs to be very readable - so a nice contrast between font and background and a readable font. We really like the simplicity of skype, twitter: light, fun, simple to read, modern, minimalist, easy to navigate.

  - MUST BE ABLE TO SEE LOTS OF DEALS PER PAGE BECAUSE WE ARE A DAILY DEALS AGGREGATOR AND HAVE HUNDREDS OF DEALS.
  - The width needs to be a size that will work with every size computer screen
  * Need to use cross-platform compatible font (Google webfonts ok)
  - The graphic elements used for the design must be copyright free

  This is a very basic version, all functionnalities are not working yet, and we are looking to you to make it all make graphical sense to the user so that it's ultra easy to understand and to navigate through.
  
  Our Logo has been uploaded as PSD files with all the color variations. Please base the color scheme of the site on the colors of the logo but feel free to use lighter or darker shades of the same colors as well as black, grays or white, if necessary.
  
  The CMYK for each color is:
  
  Green: C40 & Y100
  Pink: M86
  
  Be creative and refer often back to the web 2.0 landers above.
  
  IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING OUR CURRENT TEST SITE:
  Fell free to group elements differently or to hide them under pop- ups, to resize them or to change them in any way that works with your design. The only constraint is that all of the functions must be easily accessible to the user.
  
  We would like to have little icons signifying each category. On our test site, all the categories might not be visible but the categories are: Dining, Health & Beauty, Style, Nightlife, Education & Training, Shopping, Travel, Special Interest, Events, Services, Fitness, Other.
  
  The second tab of the site is a map view and we'd like the little category icons to be used as the points that show where the deals are located and the kind of deals that are located there.   Dayzilla is currently aggregating deals from 17 European countries and we need to make it easy for the user to navigate from one country to another.
  
  On our test site you will see country flags at the top of the page. If we could have the name of each country next to its flag without sacrificing too much space it would be better. But, if you find an even better way to make this work feel free to do so. Also, at the bottom of the page we have all the cities in which we have deals, and the list gets very long. If you could design another way to let the user see the countries/cities/deals via the bottom page links it would save space.
  
  Also, when you log in to our test site you will see a pop-up. The text of the pop-up should only be: "Let DayZilla save you precious time and find your perfect deals so you can sit back, relax and enjoy. Tell us what you like and how you like it and we'll deliver personalized deals right to your inbox. Or use our convenient selectors to see all the deals that are just right for you."
  
  Finally, the banner at the top of the page that reads: "SELL ONLINE" should say: "Sell your own deals through DayZilla!
  
  Accepted file formats: During the design phase adobe PSD and JPEG are OK (if you need to upload files), but for the handover we'll need PSD only with all the original layers.
