Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new construction management company in Phoenix, AZ, called OCM, LLC. Their tagline is Construction Maintenance and Management. They already have an established client base, mostly mid-sized companies with mid to large scale land development projects and manufacturing plants with maintenance projects.

They are looking for a strong, sturdy looking logo, something that is clean and masculine. It will likely be an emblem type logo, possibly with the look of steel or metal. The owner likes the idea of it having an American patriotic feel but that isn't required. It is going to be used primarily for business cards, letterhead and for embroidery on shirts and hats. The logo must work for embroidery and be easy to read so it needs to be clean without too many small, thin lines. Ideally it would be no more than a 2 color design, probably in red or a darker blue. I want it to be able to be produced in a single color, all black or reversed out, as well. The letters need to be easily read, the tagline can be significantly smaller.
