We are starting a coffee shop and café serving specialty coffees and healthy foods, similar to a Starbucks or other higher end coffee café. We will offer select breads, wraps, lettuce wraps, as well as soups and chili's. We will have a drive through business and a welcoming atmosphere where people can come in and use Wi-Fi while relaxing and enjoying a nice cup of coffee or healthy soup or sandwich.
We will be located on a busy one-way street near the state capitol in Helena Montana. The upper floor will overlook the "sleeping giant" which is a set of mountains that form, what looks like, a sleeping giant.
To capture a local flavor we decided to name our business "1889 Cafe." The state of Montana was approved of its statehood in 1889. The city of Helena was a large part of a Gold Rush in the mid to late 1800's. We expect a lot of our business to be coffee business and are looking for a logo that conveys this message – perhaps using a coffee cup or mug in the logo. We intend to use the logo on paper coffee cups, apparel, interior and exterior signs, including a large outside sign. Attached is an architect’s rendition of what the exterior of the building will look like. The Interior will capture a clean and inviting atmosphere by using Edison light bulbs and antique fixtures with historical pictures from 1889.
Feel free to think outside the box. We would like the logo to be impactful but simple.
